Tomorrow's Math Missionaries: I am currently a fifth grade teacher in an inner city environment, where 99% of the students are approved for free lunch and 75% are below grade level in math.

My fifth graders are excited about learning and take pride in themselves. When math time arrives in our learning day the students are focused and eagered to try new techniques, however we are missing VERY important visuals in order for my students to comprehend the complete lesson. A lesson that should take two days usually takes a week due to lack of visuals and limited materials.

The resources that I am asking for are math visuals to provide my students with hands-on practice and a clearer picture with an easier and better understanding of math concepts. Research has found that most students comprehend and retain instruction when taught with hands-on materials.

These students are the future for you and me!By donating these visual materials you are providing them with a helping hand towards the future we all dream of. Allowing them to become life learners and loving it!
