My students need 31 different books so that they can read about famous composers like Aaron Copland.

Teaching music in Washington, DC is a great opportunity for my students. Their participation in the arts will give them tools for the future. With their playing and singing, we also need to learn about music history.

So in order to infuse music into reading class and reading into music class, I would like my students to be able to read about music history. Reading about different famous composers will enhance their understanding of history and their literacy skills at the same time.

I've found 31 great books about famous composers so that my students can explore music history. They can learn more about the composers whose music we listen to in class. They can explore the life of a composer and possibly pursue music as their career gleaning inspiration from these books. As they say, reading books takes you on adventures, and I'd like to assist my students with their journeys.
