I teach a variety of students. They are in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. The majority of my school is low poverty, English Language learners and I also teach gifted and talented students. My subject area is technology.

I am currently attempting to expand my curricular offerings to my students. We use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Fireworks extensively now in class. I would like to increase the availability of appropriate peripherals to my students despite current budget constraints.

I am requesting a Wacom tablet to add to my class peripheral offerings. I currently have one tablet and I have found that some students are better at working with a tablet than the mouse and keyboard. I also know that many professionals use the tablet instead of the standard mouse and keyboard setup. I would like to provide as many of my students as possible the option to use a tablet instead of a mouse and keyboard. This will enable many of them to take their graphic design projects to another level as well as provide those with smaller hands the opportunity to be more efficient with their work.

With your help and generous contributions my students will not be limited to the meager budget we have at the moment. While I recognize that a class set of tablets is not realistic, at least having more than one available will still give more of my students the opportunity to produce high quality graphic works.
