Keep it Up!! - Heart Rate Monitors In Phys Ed

My students need 12 heart rate monitors in order to monitor their performance in Physical Education class. The monitors will be worn during class activities and then checked to see how their hearts were working for them!

Grades 3-5

I teach Physical Education and Health to our K-5 Elementary School students. Each student has Physical Education 8 times per month and Health 2 times per month, so when they come to class I like to make them as active as possible!

My students are always fascinated by how they can feel their heart beating when they start pushing themselves physically. We have used stethoscopes in the past but I feel that heart rate monitors will answer a lot of students' questions and enable them to ask even more questions!!

In order for students to truly learn how their hearts work for them during different levels of physical activity I would like for the students to have heart rate monitors. The monitors will also be a great way to connect what they learn about their hearts in Health class to what they do with their hearts in Physical Education class!

You will make it possible for my students to understand the amazing benefits of physical activity and empower them to choose active lifestyles.
