I am the school librarian at P.S. 84 in Astoria, Queens. We start every library period with a little music by Mr. Ivan Ulz to get us settled in our seats and ready for our lesson. Mr. Ulz performs early childhood music for grades Pre-k to 2. Among the most voted favorites of my students are Fire Truck! Hotta Chocolata! and Lollipop Tree! Each year my class does a spring unit on carrots. My favorite song is called the Carrot Seed. It is based on a book by the same name. We love Mr. Ulz so much we would like to invite him to appear in person. He can bring his guitar and we will provide him with the words if he forgets them. A little live music would keep us movin' and shakin' all year long.
