My Students

By the end of the year, I would like to see my students do their very best on the PSSA test. Once students see what they can accomplish, their self-confidence will rise and they will feel more successful. These new standards are challenging. I want to do everything I can to help my students succeed!

My students are Fourth Graders in a Title I public school district in Pennsylvania.

We live in a rural community and our state funding is cut more and more each year. Schools have to decide where to make cuts. Students are the ones who suffer. We have larger class sizes, fewer teachers, and fewer materials. I have a great group of students who need your help!

My Project

We need PSSA workbooks to help meet the Common Core Standards. My students will use these workbooks to help them reach proficient or advanced on the PSSA test in the spring. The new PA common core standards are very challenging and our current reading series is not common core aligned. I want to give my students the best chance possible to succeed. My school can't help me purchase these workbooks due to state funding being cut each year. Please help me reach my goal. I can't do this without your help!

I am requesting these workbooks for my students because I want each of them to succeed on the PSSA test.

These magazines will supplement our current reading series. I have seen so many students get upset over test scores. I feel that with these workbooks my students will be able to gain the knowledge they need to do well on the PSSA test this spring. I am asking that you help my students master the Common Core Standards by purchasing these workbooks for each of them.
