My students need iPads to enhance their learning. The few laptops that are available have very lengthy logins which make it hard for the little ones to use technology.

Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I am an Instructional Technology Coach that works with all the K-2 children at this specific school. There is only one computer cart for the entire school to access and signing into the computers is a laborious process for the little ones. These iPads could be used for small group instruction!

At this specific school students struggle academically and I truly believe that using educational technology will help guide these students into becoming creative innovators!

We will be able to hit a variety of skills such as literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, etc.. They are little ones so iPads would be an easy tool for them to utilize.

My Project

Students can use these iPads for all sorts of amazing projects! We can make the water cycle come alive with stop motion animation, we can make George Washington come alive as a talking avatar, we can make movies about fractions...the possibilities are endless!

Donations for this project will benefit all of the classrooms at this school.

I am not a classroom teacher and instead visit ALL classrooms to help assist with technology projects. Since technology is limited at this school compared to other schools in our district, adding 6 more devices for teachers (and myself) to check out and use in the classroom will make a huge impact.
