We’re excited to announce the launch of an inspiring initiative with AT&T. Today, in honor of teachers everywhere and to celebrate our favorite week, AT&T is launching an offer to bring hundreds of public school projects “Almost Home.”

What is AT&T Funding? For more than 25 years, AT&T and the AT&T Foundation have been committed to strengthening communities through advancing education. In 2008, the company launched AT&T Aspire , specifically focused on confronting the high school dropout crisis to help ensure students graduate prepared for the future challenges of continuing education and the workforce. AT&T’s support of DonorsChoose.org will target projects focused on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education and college and career preparation.

How does it work? Starting May 2nd, AT&T will match funding for eligible projects at DonorsChoose.org up to $100,000. All eligible projects need less than $100 to make them a reality for a teacher and his/her classroom. You can pick a project to support in honor of a teacher that made an impact in your life.

  • This funding offer does not indicate grade areas. Can I put a project on for 5th grade?

  • Some more details – AT&T is celebrating Teacher Appreciation with an Almost Home campaign for Washington DC, Dallas, Los Angeles, SF Bay Area, and New York middle and high school teachers. The projects have to be under $1,000 total and request college readiness, career prep, or math or science materials. (Technology is not eligible for this funding opportunity.)

  • I am glad I didn’t post a project. We need more details on funding especially in between the newsletters. Sometimes the matches do not give us enough info.

  • Is this offer still valid?
