On Wednesday night’s episode of The Colbert Report, our board member Stephen T. Colbert auctioned off a portrait of himself, with all proceeds going to art projects on our site. The portrait sold for $26,000!

Then came an announcement which floored us all: Jimmy Fallon will be matching those proceeds with a $26,000 donation of his own. That’s a total of $52,000 in funding for art projects in high-need public schools! Mr. Fallon’s match will deliver art supplies to 1,400 students. On their behalf, thank you, Mr. Fallon. You are one generous guy.

And thank you, Stephen, for making this all possible.

Watch the hilarious clip and take part at DonorsChoose.org/falloncolbertproject.

  • April is the month of the Military Child. Please consider supporting my project to help young children of military personnel. We plan to teach them projects that will enable them to keep in contact with their parents who are deployed.
