Inspire students’ love of reading with LeapFrog’s “Tag. Give. Read.” program.  DonorsChoose.org is partnering with LeapFrog to help inspire students’ love of reading with the Tag School Reading System.  The Tag School reader is an easy-to-use handheld tool for kids from PreK to 3rd grade to help them learn to read.  Every time a child touches the Tag School reader to specially printed books and materials, they can hear stories and sentences read aloud, get on-demand pronunciation for individual words, listen to audio from characters and other story elements, and play fun activities that reinforce key skills such as comprehension and vocabulary development.

LeapFrog will provide half the funding for Tag School Reading System requests once other donors pitch in and fund the rest!  The Tag School Reading System—which is also available for home use—works with a library of more than 75 interactive storybooks, children’s classics, and features favorite characters like Woody and Buzz from Disney•Pixar Toy Story and Diego from Go Diego Go! Learn more about the Tag School Reading System for teachers, check out a demo of the consumer version, and teachers, submit your project today!

  • Hi! Great question. You can find Tag Readers on Teachers’ School Supply and CDW in the DonorsChoose.org E-School Mall.
    Thanks!

  • How can I nominate my friend who is an Elementary teacher at Roosevelt Elementary School in Altus Oklahoma. Almost 90% of the students in that school are on free and reduced lunches and many of them do not have the supplies they need. I would love to be able to support that school. Thanks for your time.

  • How long is this opportunity available for? Do I have to do anything special other than submit a project for Tag materials?

  • This opportunity will be live on the website on September 20th and will last as long as funding is available. Your project should mention “Tag Reader” and be less than $650 in materials costs and then you should be eligible! Good luck!

  • I submitted “Tag You Are It!” and I was wondering when when they let me know that they are funding 1/2 of the project?

  • What a great idea. How are you doing on funding? The Tag Reading system is incredible. My daughter have learned so much from them.

  • Hi I requested TAG readers for my classroom, but I don’t see the logo for Leapfrog to help with the donations. How do you get LeapFraog involved with the donors choose TAG readers.

  • Hi! I’ve set up a teacher account and think this would be a great project to ask for. My kindergartners would love it! Is LeapFrog still providing funding for this?

    Thanks!

  • There is still some funding available, so it’s not too late for your project to be a part of the potential match. Just make sure you follow the guidelines above – materials should cost $600 or less and your essay should include the words “Tag Reader.” Good luck!

  • You made certain good points there. I did a search on the topic and found the majority of persons will have the same opinion with your blog.

  • I have a TAG project posted. How do I qualify for LEAPFROG funding? It’s more games for the handheld devices I received in my first project. It’s called “Tag You’re It”
