I think you guys are an incredible organization. And this HP sponsorship is fantastic!

Question: I'm trying to start a grassroots effort to get more personal finance and entrepreneurial education in our classrooms. Our severe lack of financial literacy is a big reason why we're in the mess we're in today. And our high schoolers' ignorance of business (what it takes to start and run one...how they work...how they create jobs and prosperity...how they help further the cause of freedom and free enterprise) is frightening.

Is DonorsChoose doing anything to help promote these types of projects to teachers? More specifically, what would it take to get MORE teachers to come up with project ideas around these two important topics?

I've been contributing to projects via DonorsChoose since this summer, but I rarely find any in these areas. I truly believe that if more teachers committed to posting such projects, we could find MANY donors to step up to the plate...and dozens of bloggers to help spread the word.
