This fall, math and science teachers from across five states (Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia) have an opportunity to receive half-funding for their classroom projects, thanks to a Double Your Impact campaign offer from the Merck Company Foundation. The Merck Company Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the global, research-driven pharmaceutical company, Merck & Co., Inc.: The foundation’s overall mission is to create and support philanthropic initiatives to improve the quality of human life through charitable contributions, partnerships, and employee volunteering. Merck has a long and proud history of promoting science education in schools to help develop and train future leaders in science by stimulating interest and excellence from an early age and now they have chosen DonorsChoose.org as a conduit for educational support.
Thank you Merck for helping to bring these classroom projects to life!

Merck funded half of a Watershed Project I posted and I am so grateful. Today my Elmo Document Camera arrived along with scientific inquiry equipment. My students will be able to experience first-hand the effect of water erosion on our watershed. I could never afford this equipment on my own and feel so fortunate to be one of the teachers who has found funding success with Donors Choose. With over $5,000 in less than 5 months my Disabilities Classroom has literally been transformed into a 21st Century Abilities/Possibilities Class.
