Welcome to the BlackPlanet Rising Giving Page! BlackPlanet Rising aims to mobilize the BlackPlanet community by introducing and encouraging acts of service and social change. By connecting members to various philanthropic opportunities, we, in turn, empower individuals to champion a cause and collectively change their community. BlackPlanet Rising has identified "education" as a critical area to be supported in our communities, with the goal being to ensure students are receiving the best education possible.
In partnership with DonorsChoose.org, we will strive to support public school classroom projects in communities where the need is greatest. BlackPlanet Rising has pledged $5,000 to DonorsChoose.org in the hopes that our members see the value in supporting education across the country and consider matching and hopefully exceeding our pledge to deliver over $10,000 worth of materials and experiences to the students who need them most. Together we can do it!
