My students are compassionate, curious, and committed to 21st century skills. Because of their interest in the world around them, many of my students delight in reading nonfiction texts. The diversity of our students makes the classroom environment a dynamic place to learn, but unfortunately many of our students come from low-income families. Approximately 70% of our students receive free or reduced lunch. Approximately 30% of our students speak English as a New Language.
