My kids are amazing! They are the most unselfish children I have ever met. Even though we live in a rough neighborhood: a high-poverty, urban, Title 1 school in Oklahoma, with 100% free or reduced price lunch; these kids are generous, kind, and loving. My students are extremely creative and love to learn through song, dance, and "hands-on, minds-on" activities! Our school is mostly Hispanic and African-American, with a high English Learner and special education population. Most students are drastically behind academically, and are reading 2-3 years below grade level! As a school and community, we are fighting for our students, making sweeping changes, and we are improving! We need your help to continue these changes and improve our children's education!

About my class
