nspired by hundreds of requests from around the nation, DonorsChoose.org has expanded to all 50 states in the United States. In North Carolina, the first expansion site, a pilot launch in 15 counties saw hundreds of teachers participating and residents of 31 states funding 500 student projects. Encouraged by this success, we have embarked on an ambitious growth plan. Before the fall of 2007, we served schools in the cities of Chicago, Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Washington, D.C., and statewide in Alabama, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas. In September, 2007, we opened our website to serve every public school in the country!
