I teach in a special education classroom helping students with all types of disabilities. Flexible seating with the yoga ball chairs allow each student to feel like they have freedom in the classroom. They are allowed to move without getting in trouble. They have wiggle/bounce in their seats all while they are receiving instruction. I have used my own money to purchase four chairs to experiment the usefulness of the chairs in the classroom. My students love them. I have students with ADHD and Autism, all of my students love the chairs and we have to take turns using them. I would love for every student to have their own chair. I really believe having the chairs has increased their learning and retention because they are spending more time focusing on the lesson instead of moving around.
