Our school's mascot is the Bears! My school is committed to preparing students for success by developing high achieving students who are becoming globally competent and college ready. Could you imagine not having the Internet in your home? A full 96% of the students at our school live in poverty, receive free and/or reduced lunch, and fewer than 85% have a computer connected to the Internet. It is clear that our students obtain their 21st Century skills at school. I have a precious 7 hours a day to expose them to the technology skills they will need for the rest of their lives. This year my students utilized computers that are over 8 years old. They often crashed on the educational sites we wanted to use every single day. I spent valuable time desperately trying to restart, update, and maintain computers that could never meet my class's needs.
