Our mission statement declares, "In pursuit of excellence, Caledonia Community Schools will empower and equip all persons to achieve their best by ensuring the highest quality system for learning." As the foundational part of that process, my job is to implement a rigorous curriculum guided by the Common Core State Standards in order to equip students with skills that solidify career and college readiness. Our curriculum prioritizes the following traits and concepts in order to best serve the unique needs of all students. With this in mind, this choice reading initiative provides an excellent opportunity to engage our students in literature with the intentions of fostering a lifelong love of reading and building foundational literacy skills.
