Teacher: Ms. Garcia

All of my students are highly gifted. Although this is a public school, my students must pass a rigorous test to be accepted into to the highly gifted magnet. Many of them travel long distances just to attend our special school. Our school is one of only two schools in our large district that addresses the needs of the highly gifted child. Our school is comprised of only three classrooms, but we share a campus with the resident school for children who live in the area. For this reason, we are lucky to have a rich and diverse culture on our campus. My students come from many different cultures and backgrounds. My students are a very inquisitive and motivated bunch. In my classroom, students are encouraged to think deeply about subjects, to explore topics, and to apply and express their knowledge in a variety of ways.
