I work in a public school in Nevada where my students live a very difficult life. Many come from homes that are packed with family members trying to make a good life for their children. Many come from homes where there are no books available to read, no Internet to research, and no one that is able to help them with homework. Some of my 4th grade students are also responsible for taking care of their siblings while parents go to work. Even though they face all of these challenges they are extremely caring and care about their education. They come to school everyday ready to learn with excitement and anticipation of what the next lesson will lead to.

About my class
