Books are just the beginning of what our library offers students! Imagine walking into a school library buzzing with voices and activity. One class works with its teacher on a new database in the computer area, another is doing their small reading groups at a set of tables, another set of tables has students doing a make-up assignment, another class is having story time with the librarian and the clerk is helping students find books to read while answering teacher questions. At any given time on any given day, any and all of these activities could be happening in our library. It has become a place where everyone feels welcome and at home and for our students, that is one of the most important things the library can offer. Located in a small city, we are one of the most economically disadvantaged buildings in the district and yet, our kids come to school eager to learn and our school library helps make that possible.
